AA2G™

AA2G™ is a stabilized ascorbic acid derivative produced from Vitamin C and starch by enzymatic technology developed by Nagase Viita. This proprietary process results in a substance that has greatly improved stability and solubility in water, while retaining the natural biologic functions of Vitamin C. When used in skin cream preparations, AA2G™ remains in its stable condition until it is applied on the skin, where it is activated by intrinsic catalytic enzymes, delivering healthier and younger-looking skin over a prolonged time period. It is also used as a skin-brightening and anti-wrinkle agent in daily moisturizing and sunscreen products to prevent photo-aging. Nutrient-rich byproducts of the AA2G™ production process would put a strain on the environment if they were disposed of as is. But Nagase Viita has been working to reduce its environmental impact as well as to make effective use of resources; for example, reusing the byproducts for other purposes, such as a source of nutrition during fermentation production.
