Nagase India Pvt. Ltd exhibited at Paint India 2026 from 19 to 21 February at the Bombay Exhibition Center in Mumbai.
At the show, we presented to Indian customers our global presence as Japan’s No.1 supplier by coatings market share, as well as our business activities in the coatings market and related raw material solutions.
In addition to products from our own manufacturing companies, including Nagase Chemtex Co., Ltd., we showcased a unified portfolio of products from our global partners. Our primary objective was to create a platform for exploring new opportunities for collaboration together with our customers.

■Current status of the India coatings market
India’s paints and coatings market is estimated at around USD 11.6 billion and is one of the fastest-growing markets in the world. Supported by urbanization, infrastructure investment, housing demand, and the expansion of the automotive market, it is expected to grow at an annual rate of around 5% through around 2030.
Voices from Customers
A wide range of customers visited the Nagase India booth, including Indian paint manufacturers, Indian subsidiaries of global companies, building material manufacturers, and component manufacturers. From our conversations with them, the following concrete needs became apparent:
(1) Strong interest in sustainable and waterborne coating solutions
(2) Functional coatings: Needs for energy saving and high durability
(3) “Localized” solutions that fit conditions in India
Nagase India Pvt limited engaged in discussions that covered everything from formulation and process studies based on customers’ equipment and conditions, to the design of the supply chain.
After the Exhibition
Through our participation in this exhibition, we were able to confirm the high expectations placed on NAGASE Group’s global procurement and supply network, as well as on our advanced expertise in chemistry that has been cultivated over many years.
