Tropical pineapple bites: Produced from pineapple cores, these dried fruit snacks are a great-tasting example of pineapple by-product utilization. Pineapple by-products (core, peel, stem, and crown) account for 29 – 40% of the total pineapple weight and are often discarded after fruit processing. TREHA^® trehalose gives these snacks enhanced flavor and texture, along with color retention.
