Nagase subsidiary company Nagase ChemteX invented this human
and earth-friendly textile processing enzyme branded as "PROTOPECTINASE
NAGASE", which provides one of the methods of eco-friendly
scouring process for cotton fiber called BIO-SCOURING.
This BIO-SCOURING is new scouring process that uses enzyme,
instead of caustic soda. PROTOPECTINASE NAGASE can remove
pectin from raw cotton in mild conditions in the scouring
process. It is possible to control the amount of natural wax
on the cotton fiber, which gives good hand by choosing the
appropriate treatment conditions.
Effects of PROTOPECTINASE NAGASE
- Mild treatment conditions compare to caustic soda scouring
- Safe working environment
- Reduction of energy cost
- Reduction of pollutants from waste water
- Soft and smooth handling of finished product
