Nagase has established a joint venture company with 3 strategic partners in Japan on Feb 2002 named Design & Die Co., Ltd (D&D), to enhance its commitment to provide total solution service to its clients in the Automotive Industry. The 3 strategic partners are Tatematsu Mold Industry (TMW), I.T.O. Corporation and Creative Technology Incorporation (CTI).

• Capital: 50 million yen
• Shareholding: Nagase 51%, TMW 30%, I.T.O. 14% and CTI 5%
• Head Office location: Inazawa-City Aichi, Japan
• Full-scale operation: March 2002

From the sophisticated 3D solid design to the process of trail production and the making of die for mass production, D&D aggressively reaches out to the global market capitalizing on the extensive existing overseas production network each JV partner has in USA, Canada, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. The company has also embarked on a feasibility study to plant its production bases in Europe, China, and South America where Japanese automobile manufacturers are seeking to establish their foothold in future.
