Chiral Technology is a technology to produce optically
active compounds that encompass the fields of organic
synthesis and biotechnology. They are currently the focus
of global attention as the manufacturing technology indispensable
for the production of pharmaceutical intermediates and its
potential is also recognized in the development of electronics
materials.
Right from inception, the R&D Center devoted itself in
exploring optically active compounds, and has a successful
track record in three basic techniques - Biocatalysts,
Optical
Resolution, Chiral
Pool Synthesis, Asymmetric
Synthesis, and the Chemoenzymatic
Method. In particular the R&D Center has been esteemed
for being at the forefront of research in the enzyme method,
which is very much in the limelight as an effective mean of
addressing environmental issues.
Even when a superior new Chiral Compound is successfully
being developed, efficiency in mass production and marketing
process is vital to place it on the commercial scale. In this
